Europe’s other front: peaceniks vs hawks

European democracies are willing to ramp up their defence spending in big ways, reports The Economist on account of the EU's new financing initiative, ReArm Europe: "Countries that meet the NATO baseline of spending 2% of GDP on defence are aiming at over 3%; those that spend 4% are heading for 5%." With 4.7% of GDP, Poland is on the upper end of this scale, but as per our Security Radar survey data, 75% of Poles would like to spend even more.
