New spotlight publication: Through the eyes of a Serb

The analysis is based on the Security Radar public opinion survey conducted by the FES in selected European countries, including Serbia, and a comparison of public opinion findings for 2022 and 2025.

The analysis reveals how Serbian citizens see the world in times of growing global crises. The survey shows a deep distrust of Western institutions, a pronounced tendency towards balancing between Russia, China and the West, as well as a strong focus on domestic issues. The publication provides valuable insight into understanding the factors shaping Serbia’s foreign policy orientation in an unstable global environment, and conclusions can also be drawn about how both the Serbian public and Serbian foreign policy elites think about international relations.
