Discussing the Security Radar in Austria

Between September and November FES ROCPE presented the survey "Security Radar 2019 - Wake-up call for Europe" to a wider audience in Austria. Together with our partner, Ring of Austrian Educational Institutions (Ring Österreichischer Bildungswerke), we organized three presentations and discussions in Bad Ischl, Klagenfurt and Salzburg. Although Austria was not one of the seven countries surveyed in the inaugural study of the “Security Radar”, the interest of the regional political representatives, experts and the politically interested population was substantial. The debates in three fully booked locations were stimulating and inspiring. Challenges for the European security order are of uttermost concern to all Europeans, Austrians are no exception. We will continue to engage the public on this issue.
